Overview

Our strategy of “Financial Inclusion through Entrepreneurship” with an ambition of impacting 1.5 million lives across the continent by 2030 focuses on delivery of entrepreneurial education that instils entrepreneurial mindset, intent and eventual action.

Our Strategic Pillars
Entrepreneurship and Employability: Absa is dedicated to fostering a new generation of entrepreneurs. Our initiatives drive an entrepreneurial mindset and foster intent, which is envisaged to result in entrepreneurial action. With specific focus on the youth and women, we believe in empowering these groups to be enterprising and proactive.
Financial Literacy and Education: We prioritise education and skills development that empower young people, delivered in collaboration with leading partners and organisations. This pillar also drives consumer education through various platforms for the target population as prescribed by the Financial Sector Charter.
Colleague Volunteering and Social Impact: We enable colleagues across our markets to be a force for good in the communities in which we operate. Colleagues are given opportunities to participate in social-impact and volunteering activities as well as to undertake fundraising initiatives that are matched by Absa to amplify impact.
