What is the Top Employers Institute?
Each year, the Top Employers Institute sets the highest standards for human capital management practices, instituting a global benchmark of best practices and excellence. Its data-led insights position it as the global authority on human capital practices and the institute recognises the world’s leading employers through awarding them with the Top Employer certification. Certification from the institute is hard-earned and places qualifying companies in a select group of the best companies in the world to work for.
This year is the fourth consecutive year (since 2022) that Absa Group has been awarded the Top Employer status. In 2025 Absa achieved this certification across six markets: South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, Botswana and, for the first time, Mauritius.
