Absa Group are a Strategic Partner Associate of the World Economic Forum and will be attending the 50th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, taking place in Switzerland, Davos, from 21-24 January, 2020.

As a proudly African bank with a rich heritage across the continent dating back more than 100 years, our participation in the meetings is critical. Our delegation will participate in the official gathering, meet clients and stakeholders and host a range of activities at the Absa Lounge on the sidelines of the meeting in Davos.

The theme for this year’s meeting is ‘Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World’. We have a deep commitment to Africa’s success and fully subscribe to the World Economic Forum’s Davos Manifesto, which advocates for ‘stakeholder capitalism’ and ‘positions private corporations as trustees of society to sustain our economic system for future generations’.

Our delegation will attend the meetings, contribute to relevant dialogue and use the opportunity that the meetings afford to drive investment in our continent of opportunity and possibility.
