Overview
The countdown is officially underway for the 2025 Absa Cape Epic, which will take place from 16 to 23 March 2025, marking the 21st edition of the world’s most prestigious mountain bike event. The 2024 edition delivered a significant economic impact, injecting over R560 million into the Western Cape economy in eight days, bolstering employment, tourism and small-business growth as international riders and spectators flocked to the region.

Stage 1 Highlights

From starting off at lower terrains to ending the day off on higher and jagged hills, teams pedal on through the Meerendal Wine Estate and explore the best routes of the Tiger Mountain bike trails. They’re riding at each other’s sides, they’re riding for victory.

What an exciting day at the Absa Cape Epic. Stage 1 and Day 2 of the race, teams are pedalling right on. Pacing their way through the tough terrains and exploring the Tiger Mountain Bike Trails. They’re not pressing the brakes on their stories.
Stage 3 Highlights
Two relentless days—Stage 2 and 3 tested riders like never before. Scorching heat, relentless climbs, and conditions that pushed every rider to their limits. But through it all, they kept going. We celebrate their grit, determination, and the spirit that defines the Absa Cape Epic. Pushing each other through the toughest moments is what makes this race legendary.
Stage 4 Highlights
Day 5 and Stage 4 of the Absa Cape Epic was one for the books as teams powered through challenging terrains and conditions. It was a day pedalling through the most amazing single track in Paarl. Teams remain strong and daring in this race.
Stage 5 Highlights
the Queen Stage of the 2025 #AbsaCapeEpic. 98km, 2,850m of brutal climbing. From Fairview to Lourensford, this stage is built for those who thrive on pure grit, relentless climbs, and tactical racing. It’s the toughest test of endurance, where resilience is everything. Every rider has their moment of doubt, but pushing through together is what makes the journey worth it.
